Taming your Rat

After taking your rat home from the pet store, you should begin to get it use to you. First, you should let it get use to its own house. The next day or a few hours later take her or him out hold him in your hand. You can cup your hands together to make a nice place for him to sit. Make sure all his limbs are in your hands. This will help him feel secure. While he is sitting, try petting his head or giving him a few treats. Soon he will get use to you. Let him explore and get use to his new surroundings. You should take him out about once a day so he can get use to you. In no time you and your rat will be best friends.
